Helping Students Prepare for the End of the CARES Act

There's a lot going on in the world today and higher-ed is carrying a heavy load when it comes to balancing communication and tasks. With so much to do for incoming and currently enrolled students it's been helpful to know past students, thanks to the CARES Act, aren't dealing with student loan angst.

But that administrative forbearance that was placed on most student loans in repayment is scheduled to end this September 30, 2020. When it ceases to exist, payments will be expected and the clock will start ticking for student loan borrowers who are not prepared to pay. While it’s still July and there’s time to plan, I want to share a growing concern and to offer a solution.

Borrowers who were challenged with making payments before the CARES provision will likely not be in a better position to repay their loans once the forbearance ends. In addition there are many more borrowers who are unexpectedly dealing with unemployment or under employment.

To this end many are projecting a wave of delinquencies moving forward in one large mass. We have a solution to help.

Ascendium's® Cohort Catalyst® student loan counseling program is an industry leading solution. We've had tremendous success helping borrowers manage and pay off their student loans. We're proactively preparing for the fall by engaging thousands of students over the summer to help them understand their current situation and options for the upcoming transition to repayment. I encourage you to learn more about our exceptional service, expert team and remarkable success.

Know that new schools coming on board this summer and fall won’t receive a bill until January 2021 and we’re also offering free grace outreach to new clients.

Let us help you coordinate a plan now, for the fall.
