How Our Self Review Helps You

This month I want to share how we’ve started 2020 off like a default prevention rocket. We regularly review our performance in helping our school partners reach their default management goals. I want to share my top three take-aways from our most recent analysis.

1. We can achieve significant CDR reduction in a short period of time.

A sampling of our success stories shows the breadth of our experience across various school types and their student populations.

School Type 2016 Official CDR 2017 CDR* Improvement
Private 4-YR College 4.8% 1.1% 77% Better
Public 4-YR University 1.3% 0.8% 38% Better
Public 2-YR College 20.3% 12.6% 38% Better
For-Profit College 25.1% 15.7% 37% Better

*Estimates from Cohort Catalyst tool.

2. Schools that use our services for longer periods of time see continued decreases in their CDR.

This may seem like a logical assumption, but affirming that we continue to bring value and perform at our best is imperative to fulfilling our commitment to schools and students.

Time Using Cohort Catalyst Outreach Services Average CDR Decrease from Actual FY16 to Estimated FY17*
1-3 Years 9.18%
Less than 1 Year 6.65%

*Estimates from Cohort Catalyst tool.

3. Use of multiple Attigo solutions can generate even greater success.

The Attigo Suite supports students at each stage of their higher-ed life cycle. From our financial wellness curriculum to student debt letter to outreach for students in grace through delinquency, and default. When schools use a combination of our tools and services together, the success is exponentially larger. A good example of this is the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS).

We’ve helped WTCS participating schools reduce their CDRs by an average of 20.08% (from actual FY15 to our estimated FY17*). They're using different combinations of our Cohort Catalyst outreach and counseling, College Cost Meter student debt letter communication, and GradReady financial wellness curriculum.

As we look ahead to 2020 know that we have exciting new and updated student success products and services coming your way. Our goal is to remain a step ahead in meeting your goals while providing quality tools and services at a cost effective price.

We are excited to announce that our default management solution, Cohort Catalyst, now supports online chat. This is just another way we're able to support student loan borrowers throughout their repayment and help prevent default.
